During this week-long effort, the consultant team will translate the information and input received during the past few months into physical form. Topics of study and discussion will include the Fulton Mall, the High Speed Train station, transportation and parking, streetscape, open space, and landscape, economic development, historic preservation, and form based codes.
Public participation is critical to this process and is provided in three forms: 1) Lunchtime Workshops in which the team’s various subconsultants present the theory and practice of their specialty as it relates to Fresno; 2) Evening Workshops in which the consultant team briefly presents the progress of their work and the community provides input in focused breakout sessions; and 3) Final Review in which the design team and the community review the plan and policy recommendations that were developed over the course of the week.
