En esta primera reunion Comunidad el Comité Asesor de la Comunidad del Plano Específico del Corredor de Fulton, el consultor describirá el proceso de la planificación que se hara, describiendo algunos de sus resultados iniciales, y el Comite dará una oportunidad al público para compartir sus pensamientos con respecto a las prioridades, problemas, y preocupaciones para el area del Plan Específico para los barrios del Corredor de Fulton.

The Charrette process is a method of public participation that brings all interested parties (municipal officials, developers, business owners, and community members) together for a series of days in which everyone with a stake or interest of any kind participates directly with the design team to develop and review ideas about the project at hand. The Charrette process is completely interactive and sees each of the plan’s components developed simultaneously in response to issues and needs posed by its various participants. City Staff are involved throughout and help facilitate input from a person or group that needs to be heard on a particular subject. In this way, the 'feedback' loops are ongoing and immediate, keeping unproductive or inappropriate results from being developed. Public participation is folded into the Charrette process in two ways: 1. Lunchtime presentations in which the team’s various subconsultants present to the public the theory and practice of their specialty. Likely daily topics include: a. The team’s economist will describe the nature of the economic challenges and opportunities for Fresno, and some of the tools and techniques that are available for overcoming these challenges. b. The transportation team will discuss strategies and techniques for urban mobility, including pedestrian and bicycle safety, complete streets, transportation demand management strategies, parking strategies, and transit opportunities. c. The engineering team will discuss sustainable infrastructure solutions for urban neighborhoods. d. The planning and architecture team will discuss form-based coding techniques for neighborhood repair and development. 2. Three major public reviews will occur during the 5-6 day Charrette. These reviews are at the end of each selected work day and will be scheduled in advance of the Charrette to help participants organize their schedules.
