Environmental Impact Report (EIR) / Environemental Impact Statement (EIS)
The Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) address the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) by evaluating the potential environmental impacts associated with the Downtown Neighborhoods Community Plan, Fulton Corridor Specific Plan, and Downtown Development Code. Typical impacts may include: traffic, air quality, noise, city services, land use, and historic and cultural resources, among others. The EIR/EIS discusses these environmental topics and determines which ones may result in significant impacts. It also describes mitigation measures to reduce the severity of identified potential impacts.
